Dinosuar Zoo in the Desert...

On Highway 191, between Moab. Utah and the 1-70 ramp is a new attraction...museum....tourist trap.....curiosity? We've driven by the Giant Dinosaur Park a few times via headed up to Dead Horse Point to hike, to mountain bike on the Bar-M trails across the road or on our way to or from Denver, but had never stopped.

Well last weekend it was somebody's birthday and he wanted to go, so with the weather a bit nippy after a rainy morning we paid the entrance fee and stepped into what the red rock desert around the Colorado River might have looked like a couple million years ago. Would the river have been there?:

It wasn't that  hard to imagine, if not for the evidence of man made structures like railroad bridges...

and power lines....

Designed and constructed by Dino Product in Poland, the park is  the first of its kind...

And strolling the paths, it reminded me of a zoo, seeing animals in their natural habitat...

though we we allowed to get a little bit closer.

She's trying to touch its hand....though it might look like something different...weird perspective trust me.

Of course in typical Spring time weather here in the Four Corners.... the next day it snowed.... and snowed.... and snowed....so we took a drive up to Arches and looked out the windows at the view.
